GooGoo Clusters
Most people in the South know that GooGoo Cluster’s have been around for a long time, but it’s a little known fact that the GooGoo Cluster is actually the world’s first ever combination candy bar, invented in 1912 at the Standard Candy Company in Nashville, Tennessee.
These original dollops of goodness included a combination of caramel, marshmallow nougat, and peanuts all covered in smooth milk chocolate. The recipe is largely unchanged today, although they’ve added a few more items to their offerings like the Supreme GooGoo Cluster, Peanut Butter GooGoo Cluster, Minis, Buttons, and Premium GooGoos.
The recently opened Goo Goo Shop storefront in downtown Nashville offers visitors a taste of their famous candies, merchandise, dessert bar, and more. GooGoo Clusters are a Nashville staple and a Southern favorite and can be found in stores throughout the country.
